It's march already! OMG!! So I figured I'd enlighten you guys why I'm not submitting much to anything at the time.
The reason is NOT:
Partially it is because priorities have changed a bit recently. I'm currently taking a course for project management that will last until June and where I have to study hard to pass all 6 (now 5 because I passed the first one - YEY!) exams. The other thing is that we have to travel more often and rather spontaneously because my father-in-law doesn't have very long so we try to visit him whenever we can. He lives quite far away so we usually go there for at least 4 days. Days in which I won't be able to study or draw or craft which means all of these activities are bulked together on the remaining days.
Then I'm currently crafting a lot: reworking dolls, modelling WITCH stuff out of fimo or sewing dresses for the dolls, wood work... whatever I feel like. That's because I felt like using my creativity in a different way for once and I wanted to use up the stuff I collected for such purposes over the past ten years. I haven't decided yet if I should share my work here on DA or not. I guess I will but this leads me to my final and primary reason for the lack of submits:
What I'm working on at the moment:
Frozen Hazard
Feel free to state your opinion on the matter.
Also, if you have suggestions, how I can make my submitions more interesting to you guys, leave me a comment or note.
For those of you who are interested in WIPs:
I will post a select few on my Instagram

The reason is NOT:
- that I have left or abandoned DA or that I intend to.
- that I'm not working on anything.

I'm going to submit only/mostly finished work now.
That means less sketches or WIPs and more stuff that is final and finished, and coloured.
I've decided on this because feedback on my stuff has gone rapidly down in general and that was the main reason why I uploaded WIPs. To get feedback. The only feedback I get on such things now is "I wonder what it will look like when finished". No comment on whether or not it's good or something should be improved. I appreciate that you guys comment at all, don't get me wrong but it seems like you are only interested in the final or rather coloured version (linearts are generally not well commented on) so... I will only upload those from now on.
This means there will be a longer wait for pictures and less submits in general.
This is no offence to any of you, I really appreciate the support I get, every single comment, fave and watch!
But it is a fact that numbers have gone down rapidly of all three feedback systems and if no one is interested in line arts or sketches, I don't need to go through the trouble of submitting them.
That leaves the notification feeds for my watchers to a minimum and possibly focuses better on the few pics they're actually interested in and I can use the time for better purposes.
If several people ask me to show WIPs and line arts, I'll reconsider my submition rules.
Another option would be to give individuals access to a folder on my stash for example where they can find my WIPs.
Or I submit the WIPs on demand so if someone says he/she's interested in the WIP of picture XY.

What I'm working on at the moment:
(And the reasons why I don't take new commissions for the time being)
Frozen Hazard
I am currently working on finishing the Frozen Hazard story and picture series which takes some time.
For those who noticed, there are two team members left: Kadma and Nerissa. Also one final piece is in planning so a total of 3 pictures and story parts are still up.

W.i.t.c.h. Sovereigns
Also I am busy working on the W.i.t.c.h. Sovereign fancomic, getting the prologue and cover done to show you guys, planning the main story and possible characters, outfits and so on. This takes a lot of time because I'm striving for quality now. This also goes in the direction of the crafting or rather justifies it. I get some ideas from sewing new outfits for the girls, planning them. Also I'm practising a lot, drawing the girls' faces and features, expressions and so on which results in sketches, which I don't show here because I won't get any feedback for them. (you see where all of this is getting at)
What I want to try out though is to include you guys in decision making when it comes to my WITCH Sovereign comic.
That means I'll for example show you several characters (sketch with some info) for a certain role or purpose within the comic and you guys can vote which one you like the most. That's just one example.
Not sure if it will work, I guess we'll find out but I thought it might be a nice activity and I would like to do this comic not just for me but for you guys as well. So if you have opinions, share them!
This will start soon and there will be several opportunities for you to shape the comic with me. It's your decision to use it. First decision will be up once the Prologue is done and submitted to DA.

Silhouette Chronicles
I will start working on my Silhouette Chronicles comic again soon. First thing will be a rework of Chapter 1 Page 02 because it feels less unique and engaging as the other pages. I rushed through it rather quickly simply to get it done so I want to put some more work into it before continuing with the next page. Also I've planned a few things about the work and how it works.

Little Update on things
I said I'd be more active on DA and that was initially the idea. However since that proclamation of mine the only new art I see is... AI art. It's EVERYWHERE and there's no way to tell if the people behind the art are actually putting in effort (which some do) or if they just randomly entered key words and then posted their stuff online. Most of them even have tip jars.... Which they are allowed to have but... hmpf. Where have all the old fashioned artists gone? I suppose that's what people felt like back when digital drawing came along. Suddenly I feel like I'm some old geezer complaining about kids today not wanting to put in effort - or like someone from a dying breed on the brink of extinction. In all honest truth I'm simply too lazy at the moment to move away from DA... so I'll stick around for the time being and just watch what happens. Maybe it's just a current hype and in some months more things will even out again? If not... I can still go looking for other places to post my
My 5 cents on the AI topic
I'm a little late with this but I wanted to be sure to understand all angles of this debate to be able to make a proper statement myself. This will basically just be a ... thought dump of mine. I will just drop my conclusions here and if someone reads them: Nice! But if not, it still will have helped me to process things :D . Maybe you're tired of hearing about this or are like me when I first was confronted with this and don't understand why so many artists across platforms are rioting. If so, please consider watching this video by Sam Does Arts. It's (in my opinion) a calm and in-depth explanation of the situation that helped me too to understand the whole issue better. OKAY! So! Here's some thoughts of mine concerning the matter: --- There's a summary at the end in case you wanna skip ahead To me, this whole AI issue has three dimensions or... subtopics if you will: AI and Deviantart AI boycott movement by artists AI in general as part of the artistic community AI on
A promise of activity :D
Hey heeey you guys! It's been so long! With the change of jobs early this year and the death of one of my rabbits, I've been in a slump over summer until I decided to not draw at all until I really felt like it again. That took roughly 6-8 weeks (which is super long for my taste) but it was a necessary break and I'm really happy that all of you were so supportive and understanding during that time. We also managed to take a short trip to Italy for a change of scene after almost 2 years within the same 4 walls that helped me gain new inspiration and boost my creativity. After this break I went with whatever I felt like to slowly built back up to my original form. I tried myself on animation (which was cool - definitely doing that again sometime!), finished writing part 2 of the Halloween story that I will release later this month and continued working out details of the Sovereigns comic, flesh out concepts for the new worlds the girls will visit, worked on some cool new objects
W.i.t.c.h. Halloween Special release on Halloween!
Some of you might still remember my poll from last year where I asked about what type of Halloween story I should be writing. Well, it's one year later and the story is finally ready for publishing! I present to you this year's Halloween Special! As you may know, Halloween is pretty much my favourite time of year and I love writing spooky stories featuring new threats and chills for a nightly read! I've been planning this one for quite some time, wondering if it should be the second issue of the Sovereign fan comic or a separate story. After much back and forth I decided on a short novel mostly because I wanted to focus my artistic time and energy on the comics main story and not on a special. Instead this is a written short story that will hold around 50-70 pages featuring our lovely W.i.t.c.h. girls along with my OC Maze, being confronted with one... no TWO new types of evil in town that need battling. The story's divided into three parts: Dark Night White Light Strange

Maybe your works are so awesome that people don't see what could be improved and just want to see them in next phase - colored? However, I do understand your decision. If possible I'd like to see WIPs at least for my comms though.
I'm looking forward to see the future of all these projects! Great idea to include your followers in the process of making the WITCH Souvereigns comic and letting them vote for options about the project! This way you'll be sure that you pay bigger attention to the characters people like more, while the others could get minor roles. Can't wait for you to start that, too!
